My Dreamforce ’18 Sessions

October 16, 2018May 23, 2021 jenwlee

I was excited for opportunity to present at Dreamforce, 20181015_191057for the third consecutive year. I love sharing my knowledge with others in the Salesforce ecosystem.

This year, I represented John Hancock to showcase our LTC Portal implementation using community cloud, flow and lightning components; delivered two sessions on the basics of flow in “No More Excuses. Today is the Day You Learn Flow;” and lastly, teamed up with fellow MVP extraordinaire, Cheryl Feldman, and Stewart McNaught to present admin use cases for custom metadata types.  Thank you, Vladimir, for the custom CMT tees!

Here are the links to the recordings and decks.

Build Best-in-Class Customer Portals Harnessing Business Process Automation

Customers want to interact with your company on their own but are often disappointed by limited functionality or a poor experience. Learn how companies are streamlining business processes for their customers using Self-Service and Lightning Flow. John Hancock achieves digital transformation by converting manual, paper-based processes into a dynamic, automated self-service experience in a visually stunning customer portal. In a single project, they have redefined industry standards, proving it’s possible to innovate quickly in highly regulated industries. I presented this with my Incapsulate partner, Will Lin.

Trailblazers are harnessing the power of Flow to deliver no to low code automation solutions to their end-users. Flow can be very intimidating to a beginner. You’ll leave this session with a newfound confidence and the foundational building blocks to create your very first Flow. You’ll learn how to use the Cloud Flow Designer to build user interactive screens amplified with Lightning Components, and processes initiated with a click of the mouse or record save.
